PYROMORPHITE

SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION

A rich and compact group of greenish yellow, lustrous Pyromorphite crystals from Asprières, Decazeville, Aveyron in the Midi-Pyrénées region of France. The Pyromorphite forms slightly curved, barrel-shaped crystals reaching up to 8 mm which interlock to form a densely packed group with no matrix. This is a particularly good example from this less well known location in France.
