Cervandonite-(Ce) is a complex rare earth iron titanium aluminium oxide silicate arsenate hydroxide species described in 1988 from two (Co-Type) localities in the alpine mountains on the Swiss-Italian border. This extremely well-crystallized thumbnail specimen from the Swiss Type Locality at Wanni Glacier (Wannigletscher), Monte Cervandone, features two superb glossy black rosettes of Cervandonite-(Ce) crystals, the largest reaching a significant 3 mm in diameter. These crystal aggregates are textbook quality for this extremely rare species. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
