A superb old-time crystallized Valentinite from the Příbram District, Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic. Although not the Type Locality, this region is widely regarded as having produced the world's finest examples of this rare antimony oxide species and most of these were discovered over a century ago. This miniature specimen features many pearlescent white, thin, bladed crystals, most to 5 or 6 mm in length, but some longer, aggregated on tiny reddish Sphalerite crystals. The Valentinite crystals are large and rich for this rare species. Two old handwritten labels accompany the specimen - one German - and give the impression of a late 19th century age. A great crystallized specimen of a rare secondary species.
