An excellent large miniature specimen of Wurtzite crystals from Gyöngyösoroszi mining area in Hungary. Lustrous, black, steep cone-like crystals of Wurtzite to about 3.5 cm long grow up in a parallel cluster from a massive matrix. By anyone's reckoning these are very fine Wurzite crystals and they are unusually free-standing, rather than embedded within matrix. This allows their crystal form to be appreciated much better. A fine example of Wurtzite from this lesser-known area.
