This classic twinned Cassiterite specimen from Ehrenfriedersdorf in Erzgebirge, Saxony is from the superb collection assembled by Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021). Three twinned Cassiterite crystals are visible on this miniature specimen, the largest being 1.4 cm across. Minor massive pale purple Fluorite is seen is association. The Cassiterite crystals are all in good condition, with a resinous lustre and colour grading from brown to almost black. The areas of matrix around the three crystals is rough from trimming, but the crystals stand up from this nicely. A very nice Cassiterite miniature from a classic European mining region.
