Two super crystals of classic, much sought-after Red Cloud mine Wulfenite are displayed to full impact against a dark matrix. Crystals measuring to 1.8 cm show a characteristic tabular habit with bevelled edges, of vivid reddish orange with a bright glassy lustre. The Wulfenite crystals are translucent and once backlit, become a spectacular neon orange edged with apricot. The matrix is a druse of closely bladed Calcite crystals with iron-manganese oxide inclusions. A fine specimen from perhaps the USA's most well-known Wulfenite locality.
