Classic colour-zoned brown Pyromorphite crystals from Friedrichssegen mine in the famous Bad Ems District, Lahn Valley, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Bad Ems Pyromorphite is some of best-known in the world, for its historically important brown and cream coloured crystals, and this is a great thumbnail example. Five or size well-formed hexagonal prismatic crystals individually measuring roughly 2 cm x 0.7 mm form a slightly divergent group with little external damage. The crystals are dark chocolate brown for the lower 80 % of their length with cappuccino-coloured caps and have a fine resinous lustre. A small, but choice Friedrichssegen mine specimen.
