The Collada mine in Asturias, Spain produces eye-catching distinctive Fluorite crystals. Colourful, complex, and often quite large, the crystals are like a work of art. This cabinet specimen displays the form extremely well, comprising two, large, intergrown cubic Fluorite crystals individually to about 40 mm across, each showing complex chamfered edge modifications, but rather than being a smooth edge, the surface is somewhat crazed. Added to this, the central 'square' section of each crystal face is glassy, translucent and pale violet to blue in colour, contrasting with the darker purple edges. Super aesthetics all round. This specimen is specifically from the Josefa-Veneros vein on the 75 level.
