The Sanguozhuang Pb-Zn mine, Sanguozhuang, Dongchuan District, Kunming, Yunnan, China has, in recent years, produced the world's finest specimens of Veszelyite - copper zinc phosphate hydrate hydroxide. This small miniature specimen is a great representative specimen of what has been found at that mine. Veszelyite forms several radiating sprays of sharply terminated dark blue bladed crystals on a heavily oxidized matrix alongside pale blue-green Theisite. The Veszelyite aggregates reach up to 7 mm across. The specimen is mounted on a small acryllic base for display and handling.
