SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION

A most attractive miniature Campylite from the classic locality of Dry Gill mine in the Caldbeck Fells of the English Lake District, Cumbria. The fine lustrous barrel habit crystals of pumpkin orange Mimetite, measuring to 4 mm, are richly formed in and around a cavity on a thin layer of black manganese-oxide. A beautiful example of the Mimetite variety Campylite from Dry Gill.\n\n
