A nice, very presentable, old-time crystallized Cinnabar specimen from the famous mercury-mining region at Landsberg (Moschellandsberg), Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This small cabinet sized specimen has one surface containing a 5 x 2.5 cm shallow cavity lined with mm sized Siderite and Cinnabar crystals. The Cinnabar crystals are quite deep purple-red in colour, but still quite lustrous.
