A dense, solid miniature specimen of red Cinnabar from the classic European mercury-producing region at Landsberg (Moschellandsberg), Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. An old printed number label (no. 1975) is attached to the specimen and relates to two old (likely late 19th century) handwritten (one in German) accompanying labels. A very rich historic specimen, not so much well crystallized, but very pure.
