MINRECORDITE with DIOPTASE and CALCITE

SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION

Minute colourless rhombic Minrecordite crystals sparsely scattered upon the surface of sharp 2 to 3 mm long emerald green Dioptase crystals on a small thumbnail specimen from Tsumeb mine, Namibia. Larger rhombic Calcite crystals are underneath the Dioptase with minute patches of vivid green Duftite. A classic example of this rare species for which Tsumeb mine is the Type Locality.
