Malachite pseudomorphs after extremely well-formed Azurite crystals are one of the iconic mineral specimens known from the famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This 3 cm tall off-matrix crystal with a small amount of attached Malachite is a superb example. It presents a quite wide bladed form (from the original Azurite) and the replacement Malachite provides a lovely velvety appearance along with displaying a somewhat radiating form on the surface. Its termination and edges are well defined, making for a really great example of this classic pseudomorph.
