A classic colourful Azurite and Malachite combination from the famous Copper Queen mine at Bisbee, Arizona. Finely crystallized deep blue stalactitic Azurite with sparkling glossy microcrystalline surfaces is partially coated with pale to mid-green Malachite with larger aggregates of Malachite on the reverse of the specimen. At small cabinet size, this is a nice piece for display, offering green colour and with the added association to a historically important copper mining district. Ex Nick Hawes collection.
