Without question Morocco has produced the world's finest Vanadinite specimens, and the world's largest crystals. If anything, it has been too successful in that respect, but one day, these stunning specimens will undoubtedly be given their due credit as world-beaters. This superbly crystallized Vanadinite from the main Mibladen Mining District features many very large and wonderfully glossy hexagonal crystals to 1.4 cm across with a fine deep burgundy red colour and slightly resinous or greasy lustre. The main display surface measuring 11 x 6 cm is completely covered with undamaged crystals, nearly all over 1 cm in size. Ex Nick Hawes collection.
