Long, hackly masses of Native Copper protrude from a small mass of weathered Calcite and greenish rock to form an unusual display from Copper Falls mine, at Keweenaw County, Michigan. The Native Copper is a rich metallic orange colour and a few small, fresher, glassy Calcite crystals sit upon the Native Copper to provide additional contrast. The elongated habit of this Native Copper is interesting, with some hackly bladed masses, but others surprisingly well-crystallized with the development of good crystal faces.
