This rather heavy miniature specimen is a peculiar thing. Ring-shaped, it appears to be a partial cast of Native Copper after a stumpy Calcite crystal, about 4 cm across. With the Calcite gone, a smaller hole is left behind, but outside of that there are other linear holes parallel to the original crystal faces. It is from Caledonia mine in Ontonagon County, Michigan. Ex David Hardman collection no. 2515.
