Greenockite crystals are rare from anywhere, but especially so from the mineralogical treasure house of Tsumeb mine in Namibia. You will have to take our word on this one - due to the scale - but this miniature specimen hosts four orange coloured well-formed short hexagonal prisms of Greenockite tucked away on Galena in cavities and with large rounded Smithsonite crystals adding to the interest. Individually, the Greenockite crystals reach 0.2 mm in length, but under magnification they are classic Tsumeb Greenockite in colour and shape. Ex Christian Rewitzer.
