Botryoidal, powder blue Hemimorphite coats both sides of a flattened sandy coloured matrix from the Banner District of Dripping Spring Mountains in Gila County, Arizona. The small botryoidal mounds are formed from curved cockscomb tabular Hemimorphite crystals to about 3 mm wide, these forming a pervasive crystallised druse over both upper and lower surfaces of a thin matrix of altered limestone. The Hemimorphite also forms as distinct ridges on each surface, greatly adding to its three-dimensional form.
