An excellent and rare specimen of two sulphosalts from the San Genaro mine, Peru. Renowned for its high quality crystallized silver sulphosalts it is the Type Locality to three species: Argentotennantite-(Fe); Baumstarkite; Sangenaroite. This world-class small cabinet specimen shows botryoidal metallic grey Baumstarkite, the surface of which displays intergrown fish scale-like crystals, with rare crystals of Miargyrite associated with several other undefined Sulphosalts in the underlying matrix. Not only is this a superb damage-free crystallized specimen of these extremely rare species from this classic occurrence, but it is a whopper too. Ex Professor Werner Paar collection.
