A very fine specimen of classic Cumberland Baryte from the Frizington Iron mining area. A well formed, substantial tabular crystal of Baryte stands aesthetically from the matrix. Displaying excellent colour zoning from colourless-white at the terminations to yellowish-brown and tinted yellow-green. The crystal sits on a matrix of mixed Hematite/Goethite partly covered by Dolomite and Baryte. A tremendous Baryte specimen from the mining area around the village of Frizington. Please Note: this specimen has been repaired. Based on my own inspection, the repair cannot be see. This is however very much reflected in this good price at $3000.
