An iron-stained, vuggy, veinstone quartz matrix, very richly lined and encrusted with deep emerald-green rosettes of Chalcosiderite, typically to about 5 mm wide. This terrific specimen is from its type locality at Wheal Phoenix at Minions, near Linkinhorne in northern Cornwall. Glued to the base is a lovely old label in copper-plate handwriting. Chalcosiderite is a copper-iron phosphate which was first named in 1814. This is a rich and well crystallised miniature which will provide a good example of this species in any collection.
